So Shocking as the Nigeria Police has arrested the family of the girl and the family of the man, (who is 20 years old) the man himself had ran away. The girl is in Primary 3. The scan was done and the doctor said that she is over 7 months pregnant. He thinks there could be a problem with the legs of the baby, but he was not sure.

We took the girl to Amecet, gave her food and one of the staff has spend time with her this afternoon. To see if she knows what is going on. She is just a child and is even happy that she is about to have a baby. It will be a big problem, she is too small for a natural birth.

A 37-year-old mother of three, Ezeh Ifeoma Maureen (pictured above), has been arrested with substances suspected to be cannabis by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). 

According to The Nation, Maureen was caught at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) in  Ikeja, Lagos, during outward screening of China-bound Ethiopian Airlines’ passengers for allegedly attempting to smuggle 6.200 kilogrammes of dried weeds that tested positive for cannabis.

The agency’s Airport Commander, Mr. Hamza Umar, said the suspect told the officers that her bags contained vegetables and foodstuff. Continue...

“She declared the content of her bags as vegetables and foodstuff, but during a search, the vegetables turned out to be cannabis weighing 6.200 kilogrammes. The drug was packed in two parcels.”

The suspect, who hails from Anambra State, said: 

“I am a business woman; I sell women’s clothes at the Onitsha main market. I usually export foodstuff to China and import female dresses to Nigeria. One of my customers in China called to tell me that his brother would give me two parcels of vegetables to bring to him. I collected the parcels at the airport from the boy. Unfortunately, when they tested them, I was told that they contained cannabis.”

Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade, advised the public to learn from the cases of those arrested for drug trafficking.

“This mother of three children would have been killed in China for drug trafficking if she was not apprehended here. It is important for the public to learn from her experience and shun drug trafficking,” he said.

Giade warned passengers not to collect items from people, who will not be there during a search.

The suspect, Giade said, would be charged to court for unlawful possession of, and attempt to export cannabis.

By next year, May 7th 2015, One Chuka Umaunna may turn history around and become the first black British prime minister of the United Kingdom.

Born in 1978 to a Nigerian Father and an Irish Mother, Chuka grew up in the UK .
Chuka is of mixed race, his father Bennet, who hails from Anambra state died  in a mysterious car accident in Nigeria in 1992.

His father was a labourer who went to Britain in the sixties with just a suitcase and no money, he worked in a carwash and then worked till he became a successful businessman and died in a car crash when his son was 13.

The father met Patricia Milmo, a solicitor, at a London party, she was the daughter of Sir Helenus Milmo, a Cambridge-educated High Court judge and a prosecutor at the Nuremberg Nazi trials.

Chuka till this day believes his father was killed due to him, not accepting to indulge in corrupt practices when he was running for the governorship of Anambra State during the administration of former military dictator, General Ibrahim Babangida (retd.).

When asked about his father, he said: “There was a lot of speculation in Nigeria at the time around his death. He was a national political figure standing on an anti-corruption ticket and refused to bribe anybody.
“We don’t really talk about it because it is not going to bring him back but I think he would be bowled over that his son is now a politician just like him.”

Chuka now is an an English and French Law graduate from the University of Manchester, and has a masters degree from Nottingham Law School and his political career was formed by the divide in his own Streatham constituency in the UK.

The 35-year-old Labour Party Member of Parliament, has to join and be a member of parliament and make sure his party win 560 seats in the House of Commons during the parliamentary elections being the leader to  be his party leader.

Chuka is said to be supported by former Prime minister Tony Blair, is also the Shadow Business Secretary, a position held by a member of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition
When asked if Blair had blessed him, Chuka said, “I really don’t know anything about that.” However, when he was pressed further whether he aspired to head his party, he said, “I don’t entertain any discussion beyond winning the election next year. That would be completely hypocritical of me. To start thinking about hypothetical scenarios would be totally indulgent. All my energy is focused on winning the election, and so should everyone’s. It will be very close.”

Chuka confesses that until his late teens he had not even thought about a career in politics because there was “nobody who looked like me” running the country.

Chuka has been vocal in the call for a reduction in government spending as well as issues on immigration. “They [the French] have something like 40 ministers compared to our 80,” he says.

SHAME: New Enugu International Airport Flooded (Photos)

The recently renovated Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu, has been flooded after witnessing some major rainfall.

The Airport which was closed on February 10, 2010, by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for the first phase of major renovation and expansion works and The airport was re-opened on 16 December 2010 before then going through a third batch of renovations last year, is now looking like a canal to international and local guests.

The Airport had welcomed its first international flight since the renovation in 2013 to change its status.
Despite undergoing three major renovations to the tune of millions of Tax payers dollars, it seems the money is now clogging the drains.

Boko Haram Seizes Police Academy In The North, Witness Says

Boko Haram insurgents have overrun Northern Nigeria’s riot police training academy in Liman Kara, Borno state.



According to a witness in Borno who spoke to BBC, shots were heard after the militants arrived in three armoured vehicles and on dozens of motorcycles.
A resident of Liman Kara said police recruits were seen running from the college after the attack began at dawn on Wednesday, August 20, adding that he and other residents fled to nearby hills.
Confirming the attack, a senior security source said it had not been possible to communicate with the academy since Wednesday.
Another security official who pleaded anonymity disclosed that the militants had entered the school but said he could not confirm they were in control of the college as it had not been possible to contact it.
The Liman Kara college is about 15km from Gwoza, which was recently seized by BokoHaram who allegedly killed about a 100 people and have been controlling the town as attempts by security agents to reclaim the town  have failed.
Thousands including security operatives have been killed across Nigeria, and many rendered homeless especially in the north-eastern region since Boko Haram launched its violent attacks in 2009.
Members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect had reportedly seized the town of Buni Yadi town, in Yobe State, on August 20.

Operatives of  the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have smashed a syndicate that specialize in selling human parts, Vanguard reports.

The 3 suspects whose names were given as Mustapha Muritala, Sunday Oluyeba and Adenike Olanrewaju, were arrested at the Ojumerin area of Sagamu, Ogun State following a tip off. Recovered from the suspects were two human skulls suspected to have been procured from a graveyard.
When interrogated, one of the suspects, 42 year old Herbalist Mustapha Murtala, said he ventured into the business two years ago following an offer of N30,000 for a human skull.

“I am a herbalist from Sagamu, Ogun State. I was introduced to human parts business by one Sunday Oluyeba I knew through my friends, Olanipekun and Kazim, three years ago. My friends asked me to get  native birds called eyeoshi and eyeoke, and I succeeded in getting them. They later came and requested a human head with an offer of N30,000. They said they wanted to use it to prepare concoction for a pregnant woman in labour . They told me they also use human parts to prepare concoction for women who have difficulty in getting pregnant. What they do is to grind the human skull, mix it with water and give to the woman to drink. Such concoction cleanses the stomach, after which she would become pregnant. Sunday brought the human head and I paid him N15,000 for it. This is the second time I am buying a human skull from him. I do not know where he got them from.”

Recounting how he was arrested, Mustapha said

“I was going about my herbal business when a man came and demanded human skull. As I handed the nylon where I kept it to him, some men I later discovered to be policemen swooped on me. I have never killed anyone in my life.” he said

After his arrest, he was made to put a call across to his  partner in crime, Oluyeba, demanding a human head. Oluyeba, who was indisposed, instructed one of his herbalist friends, Baba Beji, to go for the supply. He was arrested when he got there.
Further investigations by police led to the arrest of another suspect in Sagamu. The suspect, Juwon Olarewaju, another herbalist, reportedly fled on sighting policemen and his wife, Mrs Olarewaju was arrested instead.
34 year old Mrs Olarewaju, said she was shocked to find out her husband was involved in such a trade. She said;

“I have been married to Juwon  for five years and we have two children. My husband is a herbalist but I didn’t know he was dealing in human parts. I was arrested in my house at about 2am over the weekend. I swear, I didn’t know anything about all these. I was arrested because my husband whom they came to arrest ran away. These people implicated my husband in the matter; they said my husband supplied them with a human head.” she said

Wickedness! Man Nabb over stabbing a Benin Lady "Joy Osasuwa" to death in Lagos

A 26-year+old polytechnic graduate, Shola Egunle, has been charged before an Ebute Metta Magistrate’s court sitting at oyingbo for allegedly stabbing a commercial sex worker.

The defendant, who resides at 17, Fadafunmi Street, Iyana Ipaja, was said to be a 2009 graduate of banking an Finance from a private polytechnic in Lagos.

He was alleged to have stabbed the commercial sex worker, Joy Osasuwa, with a knife on the breast and back at 3 Star Hotel, located at Otto Railway Crossing in Oyingbo area of Lagos on August 12, after he made love to the victim.

The defendant is facing a count charge bordering on assault proffered against him by the police.
It was said that the defendant had demanded a balance of N800 from the N100 he gave the victim for her service.

It was also said that the defendant made the demand for the balance on the ground that he did not complete the act, adding that when the victim refused to comply with the defendant's demand, he resorted to self help, by beating the victim severely before stabbing her on the breast and on her back with a kitchen knife he found in her apartment.

The prosecutor, inspector A. U. Moses, told the court that the offence is punishable under section 243 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos state of Nigeria, 2011.
The defendant’s counsel, Obi Simon, informed the court that both parties have agreed to settle the matter out of court and urged the court to grant the defendant bail in a most liberal term and adjourn for a very short date.

Following the submission of the counsel to the defendant, Magistrate K. O Ogundare admitted the defendant to a bail at the sum of N200.000 with two responsible sureties in like sum.

Ogundare also ordered that sureties must show evidence of three years tax payable to Lagos State government, means of livelihood and have their addresses verified by the prosecutor. The matter was adjourned till September 24.

Ebola Scare: Woman Dies After 4 Hospitals Reject Her

Ekiti State Government yesterday debunked rumours of an outbreak of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, 

EVD, in the state and cautioned against creating unjustifiable panic through indiscriminate spreading of unsubstantiated rumours about spurious cases of Ebola.

This came as the government lamented the unfortunate death of a woman, who was said to have vomited and collapsed in premises of the State Ministry of Health and was rejected in four different private hospitals because of the text messages circulated by some unidentified people suspected to be in the Healthcare sector that tagged her ebola patient.

At a briefing, Commissioner for Health, Professor Olusola Fasubaa assured that there was no known case of the disease in the state and warned that sending callous messages through the Short Message Service (SMS) could lead to avoidable death of innocent and non-Ebola patients.

The Commissioner said a similar case at the NYSC Orientation camp in Ise Ekiti where a young man who had been inadequately treated for malaria collapsed and was abandoned by everybody including the camp’s healthcare givers from 6am to 3pm when the state government intervened.

Fasubaa, who explained that the National laboratory in Lagos had declared the blood of the young man Ebola-free, stressed that the patient was fortunate to be alive, saying he could have died from non-attention by the healthcare givers.

He emphasised that to establish a suspected case of Ebola, the person must have travelled to an infectious area or had contact with an infected individual, and after 2-21 days of that contact would develop the symptoms of fever, intense weakness, bone and muscular pains, which would later progress to vomiting, diarrhea and organ damage.

Prof Fasubaa appealed to doctors in the state to live up to their responsibilities and remember the Hippocratic oath they swore to. He stressed that not all patients that have fever or vomiting have Ebola.

Narrating the pathetic story of the dead health worker,  who was a staff of the Comprehensive Health Centre, Ogotun, the commissioner said “On 20th August,2014, a 55-year-old health care worker at Ogotun- Ekiti,  who was said not to have had any complaints of illness in the last two months and no current history of travel outside the state (according to her neighbours) got to the Data Bank of the Ministry of Health at about 1.pm and collapsed after coughing out blood and subsequently vomited  and she was immediately tagged Ebola victim without an adequate history taken and people started running away.

“The woman subsequently died in the late evening. The unnecessary write-up through the social media by some doctors in the state is uncalled for, and  counter-productive to the efforts of the state government in containing and curtailing the spread of the virus.” Ogun extends resumption date
 

Meanwhile, following the current global health challenge occasioned by EVD, Ogun State government yesterday postponed the resumption date for all public and private primary and secondary schools till further notice. The government through a statement by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said the resumption earlier scheduled for September 15, 2014 has been postponed indefinitely.

1. She can’t keep her eyes off of you.

If you see that she is making eye contact with you and that eye contact seems to linger a little bit too long, then you can usually take that as being a very good sign that she might feel sexually attracted to you. The more flirtatious that eye contact is, the better. You don’t want to think that EVERY woman who makes any eye contact with you wants you like that, but you can assume that if you are getting serious stares from a woman that seem to be very flirty, that she probably does feel sexually attracted to you.

2. She is trying really hard to get closer to you physically.

The more effort she seems to be putting in trying to get next to you, the more likely it is that she is sexually attracted to you. That’s not always the case, but most of the time it is. For example, if you are getting serious eye contact from a woman in a club and she is getting closer and closer to you, that is probably a GOOD time for you to try to take things to the next level.

3. She is touching you physically.

If she escalates to the point where she is touching you physically, that is also a pretty good sign that she is sexually attracted to you. You don’t want to get it wrong, though, not every time a woman touches you is going to be a clear sign that she wants you sexually. Ebola: Patrick Sawyer's widow apologises to Nigerians, regrets Dr Adadevoh's death

Patrick Sawyer's widow,Decontee has reacted to the death of Dr Stella Adadevoh who died after trying to treat Mr.Sawyer.She has also apologised for offending Nigerians with her open letter which claimed her husband came here because he needed  medical help  . She told Leadership.ng

“I share the pains that the family members of the Nigerian doctor are going through. It is just a pity that Patrick had to cause this damage both in Liberia and Nigeria......

“I want to reach out to them and express how deeply saddened and sorry I am for their loss and their pain. I do apologise if my words have cost anyone who is grieving more pain. I fall on my knees and ask God for his healing power for all of those who are still infected with Ebola. I pray for all of the families whose loved ones were taken away by this merciless killer Ebola, especially those affected by Patrick’s actions.

Ebola didn’t start with Patrick in Liberia, as we both know. Ebola was in Liberia from a traveller from Guinea since February of this year. The government knew about it and did nothing. Many Liberians, including me, called out to the government then to close the borders. They didn’t do so until one of their own, Patrick (Sawyer), died in July. Many people died before Patrick and their lives were just as important. That is my frustration. Ebola didn’t have to go to Nigeria, Africa’s most populated country, had the Liberian government taken drastic actions sooner. I, too, have family members and friends in Nigeria, and now they are at risk because of Patrick’s actions.

In spite of my anger and disappointment with him, I don’t believe that he did this with evil intent (I could be wrong). I believe his actions were that of a desperate man. And sad for everyone involved, Nigeria was closer than the U.S. This is just my take on what he could have been thinking (of course, I could be wrong).

Spouses of Two Nigerians Killed By Ebola Admitted To Hospital For Full Blown Infection

Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, on Friday confirmed what SaharaReporters had consistently reported that two more people have been infected with Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), bringing the number of current established cases to four. Chukwu, who made the confirmation during an interaction with journalists, said the latest Ebola victims, are spouses of two of the five people earlier killed by the disease.

Chukwu, who made the confirmation during an interaction with journalists, said the latest Ebola victims, are spouses of two of the five people earlier killed by the disease.

Saharareporters had revealed that the spouse to late nurse Justina Ejelonu was admitted as a suspect case two days ago, now he has tested positive alongside a wife of a doctor that earlier died of Ebola.
Last night 5 new suspect cases were brought to the treatment center. As of today four cases are under treatment with one Dr. Adejoro severely ill while a nurse, Dochi Ameobi is stable. “As of today, the number of deaths from Ebola remains 5 and the number of those that have recovered from the virus remains 5 as well”, he said, adding that these two victims are the first cases of Ebola infection through secondary contacts.

The minister also disclosed that 67 people under surveillance have completed the 21-day incubation period for Ebola, and they have been discharged. “As of today, there are 213 people under surveillance”.
He assured that the federal government, working with the Lagos state government and other partners would continue to maintain vigilance and strengthen containment activities.

He also assured the Nigerian public and the global community that efforts would continue until the very last case of Ebola Virus Disease is wiped out Nigeria.

However, he debunked the claims of Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Mr. Jide Idris that five cases were earlier taken to the isolation centre at Yaba, saying it is his office that can announce disease epidemics.
Meanwhile the World Health Organization (WHO) has withdrawn one of its doctors from the treatment 
 centre in Lagos
