They tied the knot after uniting in Stockhlom.Maryam, is expecting the couple’s first child, and Sahar, suffers from congenital brittle bones.Their union was blessed by Iman Ludovid Mohamed Zahed, who is also gay. My outfit to Aso Villa was appropriate-Omoni Oboli replies critics

Before the screening, they asked me what I wanted and I said I didnt want anything but that the President and his people should see the movie and give their blessings. For me that is good enough for the industry. The first time I ever saw the President was at his brothers burial ceremony, which I attended. I don't know him from anywhere or personally.

During the event, President Jonathan said the government didn't have money to give me and he said this in front of everybody. So if anybody is going aside to say something else, they are wrong. I returned to Lagos with the small purse I took to the event and after the event I went back to my hotel room and left for Lagos the next morning. I didnt stay back in Aso Rock or sneak out to meet anybody. I am still hoping they will call us to come and take something, that they are impressed,On how she got the president to watch the movie, she said The Film Producers Marketers Association of Nigeria actually wrote to the presidency. To our greatest surprise, they said they would do it. The event had the president, Vice-President, PDP chairman, some senators and ministers and two governors in attendance. It was huge and it is a big achievement for Nollywood. I sat on the high table with all these men and never expected that I would get to this point. The President said Nollywood had put Nigeria on the world map and contributed to our economy in so many ways and so could not be ignored.

Man rapes 7 year old girl in Lagos, damages her private parts

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man named Julius for raping a 7 year old girl, damaging her private and distorting her urination.29-year-old Julius, who lived in a rented apartment on Obafalabi Street, Ojodu Berger area of Lagos, allegedly tricked the little girl into his room on the night of Saturday, July 26, and had illegal carnal knowledge of her.

Punch gathered that the victim, a primary one pupil, was the daughter of Juliuss co-tenant. It was further learnt that Julius, who hails from Benin, Edo State, was not married and lived in the apartment with his mother.

On the fateful evening, the victims family, who were Muslims, had gone for prayer in a mosque and expected the child to come with them, but could not find her. However, when the family returned, the girl was said to have sneaked out of the suspects room, with obvious signs of pain.
Upon interrogation by her parents, the girl was said to have confessed that she was coming from Juliuss room, where he allegedly asked her to remove her pants, while he climbed on her and raped her.
After the confession, the parents were said to have reported the incident at the Ojodu Abiodun Division and Julius was arrested.

The victim’s mother said On that evening, when we came back from the mosque, she could not bend down properly. I asked her where she went and she initially lied, but later said she had been in his room.
She said the man asked her to remove her pants, and he put his organ into her, stating that he was just playing with her. I then asked her to repeat the same to her daddy when he came back. But in the morning when we confronted Julius, he denied it. Then we called our family nurse, who came, tested her, and confirmed that she had been raped.

That same day, we took her to a private hospital where the doctor also confirmed that she had been raped the day before, and on several occasions. So, we reported at the police station. From that day, I observed she could not hold her urine.

A girl who had stopped bedwetting suddenly began to urinate during sleep. The medical personnel said there was a damage to her private parts that needed to be treated. That was how she resumed treatment at the hospital. Her medical report, which was signed by a doctor, identified simply as Dr. Sanni, stated among other things that there was a breach of hymen and the absence of labia minora.

Halle Berry's 3rd marriage coming to an end?

http://www.shagarinews.blogspot.com
I was really rooting for her...hoping this marriage will last. But it looks like it may not. After Halle Berry's first marriage ended she said she was weary of getting married again. Then she met Eric Benet and he changed her mind. After that marriage ended, she vowed never to get married again.. then she met Olivier Martinez and he changed her mind...looks like she was right to be scared of getting married again. Insiders swear Halle's marriage to Olivier Martinez is on its last legs…

From Star Magazine
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez seem to be on the fast track to spitsville. Star can reveal that the couple both 48, who are parents of son Maceo, 10 months, have been living separately for months.
“They don’t talk to each other much,” dishes the source,” and when they do, it’s only about their son.”

Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh dies from Ebola virus

Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh
Yes, unfortunately it's true. Just confirmed from a family source. Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, the Senior Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist who was one of the doctors who attended to Patrick Sawyer at First Consultant Hospital has died from the Ebola virus which she contracted from Sawyer.

Dr. Ameyo died this afternoon Tuesday August 19th at the isolation unit of the Mainland Hospital in Lagos where she'd been quarantined. She died a hero because she was the doctor who refused to let Patrick Sawyer, the man who brought the Ebola virus to Nigeria, leave the First Consultant Hospital in Obalende, Lagos, when he attempted to leave. She saved many lives by doing this. Her death is so heartbreaking.

She's survived by a son and her husband. May her beautiful soul rest in peace...Amen.

ISIS claims to have beheaded U.S Journalist as retaliation for U.S airstrike

Islamic State insurgents released a video yesterday Tuesday August 19th purportedly showing the beheading of U.S. journalist James Foley (pictured above), who had gone missing in Syria nearly two years ago, and images of another U.S. journalist whose life they said depended on U.S. action in Iraq.

The video, titled "A Message To America," was posted on social media sites. It was not immediately possible to verify its authenticity.
Foley, who has reported in the Middle East for five years, was kidnapped on Nov. 22, 2012, by unidentified gunmen. Steven Sotloff, who appeared at the end of the video, went missing in northern Syria while he was reporting in July 2013. Continue...

A Twitter account set up by his family to help find him said early on Wednesday: "We know that many of you are looking for confirmation or answers. Please be patient until we all have more information, and keep the Foleys in your thoughts and prayers."
The White House said that U.S. intelligence agents were working to verify the authenticity of a video.
The Islamic State had not previously executed American citizens publicly. The video was posted after the United States resumed air strikes in Iraq for the first time since the end of the U.S. occupation in 2011.
The Sunni militant group has declared a caliphate in parts of Iraq and Syria in areas it controls.
The video opened with a clip of U.S. President Barack Obama saying he had authorized strikes in Iraq.
"Obama authorizes military operations against the Islamic State effectively placing America upon a slippery slope towards a new war front against Muslims," words appear in English and Arabic on the screen.
It showed black and white aerial footage of air strikes with text saying "American aggression against the Islamic State"
A person identified as James Foley and wearing an orange outfit is seen kneeling in the desert as a man in black dress with a black mask stands beside him, holding a knife.
"I call on my friends family and loved ones to rise up against my real killers, the U.S. government, for what will happen to me is only a result of their complacency and criminality," the kneeling man says.
The man in the mask speaks in a British accent and says: "This is James Wright Foley, an American citizen, of your country. As a government, you have been at the forefront of the aggression towards the Islamic State."
"Today your military air force is attacking us daily in Iraq. Your strikes have caused casualties amongst Muslims. You are no longer fighting an insurgency. We are an Islamic army, and a state that has been accepted by a large number of Muslims worldwide."
Following his statement he beheads the kneeling man.
At the end of the video, words on the side of the screen say "Steven Joel Sotloff" as another prisoner in an orange jumpsuit is shown on screen.
"The life of this American citizen, Obama, depends on your next decision," the masked man says.
Foley, a freelance reporter, had been covering Syria’s civil war for GlobalPost. In 2011, he was held for 45 days by forces loyal to former Libyan leader Muammar Gadaafi.
Sotloff is also a freelancer journalist with published stories in Time Magazine and Foreign Policy. He has worked in Syria, Libya and Yemen.

White House spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said: "We have seen a video that purports to be the murder of U.S. citizen James Foley by ISIL. The intelligence community is working as quickly as possible to determine its authenticity.
"If genuine, we are appalled by the brutal murder of an innocent American journalist and we express our deepest condolences to his family and friends."
Islamic State also released another video on Tuesday that gave the strongest indication yet it might attempt to strike American targets.
The video with the theme "breaking of the American cross" boasts Islamic State will emerge victorious over "crusader" America.
It follows a video posted on Monday, warning of attacks on American targets if Washington struck against its fighters in Iraq and Syria.

Ebola crisis: Liberia orders curfew and quarantine

Liberia has imposed a night-time curfew and has quarantined a slum in the capital Monrovia in a bid to halt the deadly Ebola outbreak.
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf said the curfew would be from 21:00 local time to 06:00 (21:00-06:00 GMT).
She said all movement would be blocked in and out of the West Point slum.
Meanwhile, three doctors with Ebola who started taking an experimental drug last week showed remarkable signs of improvement, a Liberian minister said.
Information Minister Lewis Brown said the government only received a small number of ZMapp doses.
He said the drug was given to one Nigerian and two Liberian doctors who had caught Ebola while helping to save the lives of other victims of the virus.
Map: Ebola outbreak in West Africa
The drug was first given earlier this month to two US aid workers, who were flown home for treatment from Liberia.
They are also reportedly recovering, but a 75-year-old Spanish priest who contracted Ebola in Liberia died in Spain last week despite being given the drug.
Ebola has no known cure but the World Health Organization (WHO) has ruled that untested drugs can be used in light of the scale of outbreak in West Africa.
Since the beginning of the year, 1,229 people have died of the virus.
It is transmitted by direct contact with the body fluids of an infected person.
Initial flu-like symptoms can lead to external haemorrhaging from areas such as eyes and gums, and internal bleeding which can cause organ failure.
The outbreak began in Guinea and has since spread to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.

Ebola Virus Disease (EVD)
A fruit bat is pictured in 2010 at the Amneville zoo in France. Fruit bats are believed to be a major carrier of the Ebola virus but do not show symptoms
  • Symptoms include high fever, bleeding and central nervous system damage
  • Fatality rate can reach 90% - but current outbreak has about 55%
  • Incubation period is two to 21 days
  • There is no vaccine or cure
  • Supportive care such as rehydrating patients who have diarrhoea and vomiting can help recovery
  • Fruit bats, a delicacy for some West Africans, are considered to be virus' natural host
