2013 AfricaN Cup of nations: Zambia mock Eagles’ N1.6m-a-player largesse
THe Zambian government has put an “attractive package” on the table
for the national soccer team to take if it retains the African Cup of
Nations.
Zambia is in Group C with Burkina Faso, Ethiopia and Nigeria and the country’s Minister of Sports and Youth Chishimba Kambwili said Nigeria’s offer of US$100,000 each to the Super Eagles players is a sign of panic.
Nigerian players have been promised US$100,000 (about N1.6m)) each if they win the championship slated for January 19 to February 10 in South Africa. This is the same amount the Zambian government gave the Chipolopolo players for winning the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
“The stage has been set for our team and I can assure the nation that the players have been given good bonuses. For Nigeria, they are just playing mind games with the money strategy because they are scared,” he said.
Kambwili said the government is confident the championship will return to Zambia and the players will get the “cash bonanza”, whose value he declined to state.
He also disclosed that through the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), the players have already been told the monetary gain if they win.

School Boy Kidnappers Want N150m
Kidnappers of two-year old Nigerian boy, Emmanuel Alonge, have
demanded N150 million as ransom before the boy could be released.
Alonge was on his way to school on Monday in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, when he was kidnapped by gunmen and whisked away to an unknown destination.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the father of the boy, Olusegun Alonge, who is the proprietor of Barachel group of schools in Ifako-Ijaiye, had been contacted by the kidnappers and given 48 hours ultimatum to provide the money or risk losing his son.
A family source said the kidnappers called the father of the boy on two occasions the same day. The first time was at 4.21 pm while the second was at 11.30 pm to demand for the ransom.
The 48-hour ultimatum will expire today, but nobody knows the whereabouts and fate of the boy as at the time of filing this report.
Alonge was being taken to school in the parents’ Lexus SUV in the company of the driver (Daniel) and the private nurse (Mrs. Adeyemo) when the kidnappers who ambushed and overpowered them snatched the little boy from them at gun point.
It was gathered from eye witnesses that the kidnappers wore masks during the operation and had been in the vicinity awaiting their victim some hours before they struck.
P.M.NEWS gathered that the kidnappers were four. It was learnt that when they arrived the area, they drove and parked their black Mitsubishi Montero SUV about seven buildings away from the residence of the Alonges.
An eye witness, who craved anonymity said: “Truly, we saw the black SUV parked in the area, but we didn’t suspect any ulterior motive because the passengers were outside playing and chasing one another about, until when we saw them moving again to block the coming Lexus SUV carrying the boy to school.” Another eye witness, Kamilu Sulaimon, said that trouble began for the Alonge family when occupants of the Montero SUV pretended to be moving away from Willisco Street only to block the Lexus SUV. “The SUV refused to give way to the Lexus SUV and at the same time refused to move on. The driver of the Lexus SUV started to hoot and suddenly, the kidnappers alighted and demanded for the boy.
“We noticed that the driver refused and this made the kidnappers threaten to break the glass. Eventually, the driver opened the door when he saw guns with them. They threw the private nurse under the Lexus SUV and sped off with the child,” he explained.
The nurse (Adeyemo) explained that because she was thrown under the vehicle and that Daniel could not drive over her, it gave the assailants ample time to drive off before the chase that followed could begin.
According to her, the kidnappers hit her several times with their gun butt when she refused to release the boy, adding that “when they opened the door, they told us ‘we are not going to kill you if only you give us the boy’. I then told them that I will not release the boy until they kill me. That was when they hit me in the head and when I slumped they threw me under the vehicle.” As P.M.NEWS was about going to press, family sources told our correspondent that the kidnappers had slashed the ransom to N100 million.
Meanwhile, the mother of the little boy has been delivered of twins. It was gathered that the mother delivered the twins hours after little Alonge was abducted. Emmanuel was born 15 years after the couple got married.

Men are attracted to my Lips and Boobs
Top Yoruba actress and producer, Lizzy Anjorin who is now being
referred to as Kofo has confessed that her lips and boobs are her
greatest assets. On marriage, she is it’s like a sealed package; one
doesn’t know what is inside until one opens it.
The mother of one who is doing well business wise said that the two gifts of nature are the weapons men see that attract her to them.
Hear her response when she was asked for her kind of man, “I can’t create a man, so I don’t see any reason why I should prefer a dark or fair guy, as long as he is good to me, he is also kind and he does not listen to hearsay.
Most of the broken homes you hear about in the entertainment industry is based on hearsay because most of the guys who fall in love with actresses see them and admire them, but the moment they take them home, their parents start revolting that they want to get married to an actress and honestly, the wife that has been kicked out some four years ago will now come back to say that one actress wants to steal her husband. It is something that one needs to take a very careful look at.”
